"Marigold bed and breakfast an artists domain from the entry to the working studio"

Your host Artist Joan Doherty invites you to enjoy her unique home which has been welcoming Maritime visitors and family alike for the last 100 years.

"Marigold Mansion" as it was affectionely named by Joan's Mother Ruth was always filled with a steady stream of friends and family that her Irish grandfather Tom and her father Mike ran into and invited back for a meal and some stories of Halifax and its history, which often concluded in guided tour of Halifax. Marigold Bed and Breakfast Following in her parents footsteps wasn't hard for Joan as her Irish Heritage took her to Dublin where she stayed in a B&B for several months then returned to Halifax where she continued to nuture her artistic and adventurous spirit until finally concentrating on what she loves best.

Marigold Bed and Breakfast has now become a very different spot for tourists and travellers who have a love of the arts and want to get up close to an artist at work at the same time relaxing in this warm and friendly atmosphere. All of Joans canvas floor mats are for sale, they make wonderful gifts and Joan can custom design these mats to suit any room.
